Customise your individuality in to your coffee world and design your own machine.
Merging with our refurb program, this is taking customising a machine a little further. Start with the basics, an old VBM, ECM, ROCKET or similar machines, and recycle the boiler/s group head, steam and hot water tap, as much as possible is reused. Or we can design and build based entirely on new parts.
We work with you on a design brief of how you want your new machine to look like, render a design image for you and then build what you see. Pricing will vary depending on components used, materials or coatings but we quote for the entire finished machine and keep you up to date on the build.
Assembly starts with the major components and control and get the machine running and tested while the body parts are being fabricated, once the body is complete and assembled the machine goes under final testing before going to it's new home.
With a custom control board we can take your old machine or build you a new one and turn it in to a modern piece of functioning art.
Builds start at NZ$5,000 for a REFURB, NZ$8,000 for a NEW BUILD and NZ$12,000 for the ULTIMATE BUILD.
Send us an email with your ideas silverbackcoffeesolutions@gmail.com and book in for a build.
Here is a rundown of what we are working with, Yes you will have built in scales to program your desired weight, as the project grows we will add more control.
- 2, 3, or 4 wire probe compatible
- 100R or 1K RTD compatible
- Input power: 100~240VAC, 10A max
- Outputs:
- 1~2 boiler elements
- 1~2 Solenoid valves
- 1 Pump relay
- Additional 5VDC relay outputs to control external relays if more power is required
- Easy calibration program
- Used for gravimetric espresso shots
- 4 or 6 wire load cell compatible
- Used for volumetric espresso shots
- 5VDC pulse input from flow meter
- 0.5~4.5VDC input signal
- Programmable Sensor kPa rating, min, and max voltages
- Programmable pressure or temperature targets for each boiler/element
- Provides stable pressure and fast response
- Programmable pre-infusion cycle
- Programmable espresso shots by timer, dispensed volume (flow meter), or gravimetric (load cell)
- Touch-sensitive probe
- Float switch (on/off)
- Ultrasonic ranging sensor (also calculates the water percentage remaining in the tank)
- 2x touch-sensitive boiler probe inputs
- Programmable sensitivity
- Programmable boiler refill timer
- I2C interface to connect a 128 x 128px OLED display
- Programmable min/max temperature limits for each temp probe
- Programmable min/max pressure limits for each pressure transducer
- Once a value has exceeded a min or max limit, the machine shuts down, displays the error code, and won't operate until rebooted by the user.
- (Thermal cut-off fuse and boiler OPV are recommended as a backup)
